New Real-Time Intelligence & Information Center (RIIC) for the St. Louis County Police Department

SPF is proud to announce the successful completion of this project, the new RIIC for the St. Louis Police Department, in the state of Missuori, carried out in close collaboration with our US partner Fountainhead Control Rooms.

St. Louis County’s new Police Precinct, Property Control, and Intelligence Center in Maryland Heights is a 49,000-square-foot Mission Critical Category IV structure. The new facility provides a secure state-of-the-art environment for the police force to train, work, and engage with the community. The precinct serves as the base for approximately 82 police officers and 23 staff members with room for future expansion. In addition to serving as a Police Precinct, the new facility houses the county’s Intelligence Operations Bureau and Property Control functions.

The project includes the installation of high perfomance  18 operator positions, featuring a combination of our ELITEAIR height-adjustable consoles and our ELITE fixed consoles, specifically designed to meet the demanding requirement of this 24/7 mission-critical control room.

From the very beginning, this project presented several technical challenges. Throughout the development process, multiple layouts and design concepts were evaluated, with continuous optimization to achieve the best possible solution in terms of functionality, ergonomics, and operational efficiency.

The project’s success is the result of outstanding teamwork between the SLPD, Fountainhead, and the SPF engineering team. Open communication, flexibility, and a shared commitment to excellence enabled us to deliver a solution that fully meets the customer’s operational needs.
